Terms and Conditions
These terms govern your use of the WiFi Analyzer Android app (“the app”). By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, uninstall the app.
The app
WiFi Analyzer is a network diagnostics tool. It reads the radio and connection on this device and runs measurements you start, such as speed tests, ping, DNS, traceroute, coverage walks and a local-network device scan.
Every number shown in the app comes from a real measurement on this device. Where Android cannot report something, the app says so. It does not invent a reading.
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on Android devices you own or control, for your own diagnostic use. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, redistribute or sublicense the app except as allowed by applicable law.
Your responsibilities
- Use the app only on networks you are authorised to examine (typically your own home or office Wi‑Fi, or a connection provided to you).
- Do not use device discovery, traceroute or similar tools to probe networks or hosts you are not allowed to test.
- A speed test and some other checks transfer real data. On a metered connection that can use your mobile allowance or incur charges from your provider.
- The app never changes your Wi‑Fi configuration. Joining a network, changing a channel or updating a router is your action, not the app’s.
No professional advice
Results are measurements taken on this phone at that moment. They are not a guarantee of your ISP’s service, a legal proof of outage, or advice on how to configure a third-party network. Conditions change; a later test can differ.
Privacy
How the app handles information is described in the Privacy Policy. There is no account. Measurements stay on the device unless you start a speed test, an optional public-IP lookup, a feedback email, or anonymous usage events sent to Firebase Analytics.
Purchases
Nothing that is measured is paywalled. If Premium products are offered later, they are sold through Google Play. Play’s terms and refund rules apply to those purchases. The app does not see your full payment details.
Disclaimer
The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose or that measurements will be uninterrupted, complete or error-free. Android, device firmware and the network itself can limit what can be reported.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the app, including data charges, dropped connections, or decisions you make from a measurement. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for it in the three months before the claim, or zero if the app was free.
Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstalling removes the local database on that device. We may stop distributing the app or update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and the in-app or Play Store listing will point to the current version.
